Bring your own voice to AI.
Choose your goal, tone and boundaries. Turn a few useful Scan insights into a short brief. Check the AI draft and change what doesn’t fit.
Share only what an AI tool needs. Leave out private client or workplace information.
Use your chosen insights as instructions for AI. The Scan does not train a model or install agents. Training and coaching are booked separately.
From knowing yourself to guiding AI
Turn a few chosen insights into a short brief: your goal, tone, boundaries and what to check. Start with Chat; add tools only when useful.
Use your brief to ask AI for an email draft. Tell it the tone you want and what to avoid. Read it aloud and edit what doesn’t fit.
Reuse the same preferences when drafting, checking and revising a message. Compare versions and approve what moves to the next step.
For a guided agent task, turn your preferences into rules: prepare a draft, flag uncertainty and ask before sending. Review the work; the Scan does not install the agent.
Share a few working preferences you choose, such as tone and feedback style. Agree who checks AI drafts and who signs off. Personal Scan profiles stay private by default.
Your questions.
What is the Satellite Scan?
The Satellite Scan is a structured 129-question self-reflection that maps your communication patterns across 8 lenses developed from coaching practice. Think of it as a communication mirror—it surfaces your self-reported tendencies, preferences, and patterns worth exploring in how you connect with others.
How long does it take?
The questionnaire takes approximately 90 minutes to complete. We recommend finding a quiet space where you can reflect honestly on each scenario. After submission, our coaches personally review your responses and deliver your custom dashboard within 48-72 hours.
What do I get?
You receive a personalized visual dashboard mapping your self-reported patterns across all 8 lenses, crafted by our coaching team. Use the prompts, video guides and downloadable resources to explore those patterns and prepare conversations.
How do I use my results?
Your dashboard reveals patterns you can immediately apply in conversations. Use the prompt library to dive deeper into specific lenses, explore challenging relationships, or prepare for important meetings. Many clients also choose to continue with our coaching programs for guided transformation.
Is it confidential?
Your responses are used to prepare your results and deliver the service. Full answers are sent by email to you, with Estève and Anu copied, using our service providers. Read the privacy policy and the participant notice before submitting. If you choose to use an external AI tool, review its data settings and share only what you are comfortable sharing.
What if it's not for me?
If after receiving your personalized dashboard you feel the Satellite Scan didn't provide valuable insight, contact us within 14 days for a full refund. No questions asked.
How is this different from a personality test?
Unlike personality tests that assign fixed labels (introvert, INTJ, etc.), the Satellite Scan captures your self-reported communication preferences—tendencies that may shift based on context. It surfaces patterns you can reflect on and consciously explore, rather than defining who you are. Note: like other self-report tools, it shows how you perceive your behaviors, not an objective measure of how others experience you.
How does this help with conflicts?
The scan surfaces your self-reported conflict tendencies across multiple lenses—how you perceive yourself handling needs, stress responses, and power dynamics. Reflecting on these patterns may help you notice when you're about to react defensively. Many users find that seeing their patterns mapped out prompts useful reflection about difficult conversations—though real behavior change requires ongoing practice and sometimes professional support.
How much digital skills and AI literacy does the Satellite Scan require?
Very little. The Scan is an online Typeform questionnaire. If you choose to use AI, the prompt library provides templates to adapt to your task; no technical expertise is needed. Check the tool's data settings and share only the information required. You can also use the dashboard and worksheets without AI.
How does this help with complex communication involving multiple stakeholders?
The scan maps your patterns across dynamics (how you navigate power structures), alignment (how you build shared understanding), and influence (how you persuade). For multi-stakeholder situations, you'll understand how you adapt—or fail to adapt—when communication contexts shift. The prompts help you prepare for specific stakeholder conversations by analyzing your default patterns against each relationship.
How does this help with time management and prioritization?
The Flow lens invites reflection on feeling overwhelmed, disengaged or absorbed in a conversation. Alignment explores expectations and shared understanding. Use these perspectives to discuss priorities, unclear requests, repeated meetings or rework; the Scan does not measure productivity or guarantee time savings.
What kind of personal growth is this?
This is conscious communication development: reflecting on how you connect, influence and understand others. It is not therapy or a diagnostic assessment. Use the Scan to choose something to practise in your professional relationships and leadership. Repeating it can help you discuss changes in your own responses; it does not objectively measure growth.
Can I see under the hood of what is measured?
Yes. The Satellite Scan uses 129 questions across 8 lenses from the Periodic Table of Conscious Communication. Explore the framework to understand the perspectives behind the questions. Your answers describe your own perceptions, not an objective assessment of your abilities.
How can this help fractional roles (part-time coaching, fractional CMOs, etc.)?
Fractional professionals must build trust and create impact quickly across multiple organizations. The scan reveals how you adapt your communication style when context-switching between clients. Understanding your default patterns helps you consciously shift gears, maintain boundaries, and deliver consistent value even when you're splitting attention across different organizational cultures.
How does this enable new skills?
Self-awareness can support skill development. The Scan helps you choose communication patterns to explore; it does not establish which skills you have mastered. You might practise listening, making a clear request, or speaking in a group. Use the prompt library to prepare small exercises and reflect on what happens.
What are the best tools and AI automation to get the most value from the Satellite Scan?
You can use the prompts with an AI tool you choose, including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Copilot. Check the provider's availability, terms and data settings. Share only the information needed for your task, without private client or workplace data. AI use is optional; you can reflect with the dashboard and worksheets without it.
Can this be done more than once?
Yes. Each Scan is a snapshot of your own responses in a particular time and context. You may revisit it after 6–12 months, a role change or a new challenge. Compare responses as a starting point for reflection with your coach, not as proof of improved ability.
What is the research and science behind this?
The Satellite Scan is a practitioner-developed coaching tool, not a peer-reviewed psychometric instrument. It's built on the Periodic Table of Conscious Communication—a framework synthesized from 27 years of professional practice across executive coaching, mediation, NVC, and organizational development. The framework draws theoretical inspiration from established fields: attachment theory and emotional intelligence from psychology, speech-act theory and conversational pragmatics from linguistics, systems thinking from sociology, and relational ethics from philosophy. While these theoretical foundations are well-established, the Satellite Scan itself has not undergone independent psychometric validation (test-retest reliability, predictive validity studies, etc.). We're transparent about this: we offer a structured reflective tool for self-discovery and coaching, not a clinically validated diagnostic assessment.
Can this be used for hiring or performance reviews?
No—and we strongly advise against it. The Satellite Scan is designed exclusively for personal development, team building, and coaching. It should never be used for hiring decisions, screening applicants, performance evaluations, or any employment selection process. Like the MBTI and similar self-reflection tools, it measures self-reported preferences in a moment, not abilities or job qualifications. Using it for selection decisions would be both ethically inappropriate and potentially legally problematic. If you need validated assessments for hiring, please consult occupational psychologists who specialize in employment selection tools.
What are the limitations for workplace use?
The Satellite Scan is valuable for voluntary personal development, team communication workshops, and coaching conversations—but only when participation is truly voluntary and results remain private to the individual. It should not be used to: label or categorize employees, make promotion decisions, compare team members against each other, or create performance metrics. Organizations using team scans should ensure psychological safety, confidentiality, and that no adverse employment decisions are based on results. The tool reveals patterns for self-reflection, not objective measures of competence.
How does this help Executive Assistants with crisis communication?
Executive Assistants are often the first point of contact in a crisis and must communicate across multiple stakeholders under pressure. The scan reveals your self-reported patterns in areas like navigating authority (Dynamics lens), managing stress triggers (Ego lens), and advocating for solutions while handling emotions (Needs lens). Understanding these patterns can help you reflect on staying composed, communicating clearly to different audiences, and supporting your executive—though actual crisis performance depends on many factors beyond communication preferences.
How does this connect with workplace wellbeing?
Communication patterns can contribute to workplace stress. The scan may help you reflect on patterns that create tension—perhaps suppressing needs to please others, getting triggered in meetings, or rarely experiencing flow in conversations. By making these patterns visible, you can explore setting better boundaries and having more authentic conversations. Note that workplace wellbeing involves many systemic factors beyond individual communication; the scan is one reflective tool, not a comprehensive wellbeing solution.
How does the Satellite Scan help build resilience?
Resilience in communication means recovering from difficult conversations, adapting to conflict, and maintaining emotional balance under pressure. The Scan maps your patterns across lenses like Attitude (how you orient toward challenges), Flow (whether you're overwhelmed or disengaged), and Ego (how you handle criticism and defensiveness). By seeing your stress-response patterns clearly, you can build more resilient communication habits—bouncing back faster and staying grounded when conversations get tough.
How does this develop social intelligence?
The 8 lenses offer perspectives for reflecting on social situations. Dynamics explores roles and power, Needs explores what matters to you and others, and Influence explores how you advocate and listen. These are self-reported patterns to discuss and practise with, not an objective score of social intelligence.
How does AI-assisted personal growth work here?
After completing the Scan, use your coach-prepared dashboard and the prompt library to explore patterns, prepare conversations or choose micro-habits. AI is an optional thinking partner, not a replacement for coaching. Review the tool's data settings, share only what is needed, and check its suggestions against your own judgement.
How is this different from HRIS personality tests?
The Satellite Scan is designed for voluntary personal development and coaching, not hiring, screening or performance management. It describes self-reported communication preferences rather than fixed personality types. It must not be used to rank employees or make selection, promotion or performance decisions.
How does this support leadership development?
Leadership is fundamentally about communication—how you influence, align teams, navigate power dynamics, and manage your own ego under pressure. The Scan maps all of these dimensions through the 8 lenses. Leaders typically discover patterns they hadn't named: perhaps they're strong in Influence but weak in listening (Needs), or they default to control (Dynamics) when they could build more trust through vulnerability (Ego). The coaching programs then build on these insights with targeted leadership development exercises.
What does the Satellite Scan actually measure?
The scan measures your self-reported responses to 129 communication scenarios across 8 lenses. It captures how you say you would behave in various situations—your preferences and tendencies as you perceive them today. It does not measure abilities, predict performance, or assess personality traits in the way validated psychometric instruments do. Think of it as a structured self-reflection that surfaces patterns worth exploring, not as a diagnosis or objective measurement of who you are.
Is coaching included?
Training and coaching are booked separately. The Scan supports personal reflection and practice; it does not train an AI model for you.
Can I use this without AI?
Yes. Use your dashboard and practice materials to reflect on communication with people. AI prompts are another way to explore, not a requirement.
Explore the communication framework
The Scan explores self-reported communication patterns across eight lenses: Influence, Attitude, Chaordic, Flow, Alignment, Needs, Ego and Dynamics. Use these perspectives to notice habits, prepare conversations and choose something to practise.
Start with a situation you recognise
A difficult “no”, a misunderstood message, conflicting priorities or a conversation you keep putting off. Notice what happens now, choose a small change and reflect on what happens next. Practice and coaching—not a score alone—support change.
Keep practising
Use the communication prompts, video guides, Periodic Table poster, micro-habit templates and worksheets with your dashboard. Choose what helps your current task.
Experiences shared by participants
Managing calendars for three executives means navigating conflicting priorities daily. The Satellite Scan helped me see my communication patterns and now I handle those tough 'no' conversations with confidence.
I always thought I was just 'bad at confrontation.' The Scan showed me I actually have strong Alignment skills — I just needed the language to own them. My annual review went completely differently this year.
Working remotely for three clients across time zones, I was drowning in miscommunication. The 8 lenses gave me a framework to name what was going wrong — and fix it without burning bridges.
We've been transitioning to a self-managing structure for two years. The framework finally gave our team a common language for the difficult conversations that transformation requires.
I recommended the Scan to my whole team. It's not a test — it's a mirror. And sometimes you need a good mirror before you can see your superpowers clearly.
The 8 lenses framework gave me language for patterns I'd been feeling but couldn't articulate. Now I prepare differently for every difficult conversation.
After 15 years in leadership, I thought I knew my communication style. The Scan showed me three blind spots I'd been working around instead of through.
I used the Scan results with the AI prompt library to prepare for a board presentation. It completely changed how I structured my argument.
